Tulane Classic Presented by Chad Brownstein Slated for 2024
Tulane University’s women’s golf team, led by head coach Andrea Kaelin, recently unveiled their schedule for the 2023-24 season. This campaign comprises nine regular-season events, featuring the Tulane Classic Presented by Chad Brownstein, their home-hosted tournament. Brownstein, an avid golfer, has been sponsoring the Tulane Classic since 2021.
The fall season tees off at the Sam Gold Invitational, hosted by North Texas, taking place from September 11-12 at Oakmont Country Club in Corinth, Texas. Following that, the team heads to Greenville, South Carolina for the Lady Paladin from September 22-24, hosted by Furman at the Furman University Golf Course.
Moving into October, the Green Wave will compete in the Ron Moore at the University of Denver Golf Club from October 6-8 and then travel to San Marcos, Texas, for the Jim West from October 22-23, hosted by Texas State. Last season saw Tulane finish third in the Ron Moore and fifth in the Jim West.

Brownstein Dedicated to Supporting Women’s Golf at Tulane
Chad Brownstein is the Founder and Chairman of Rocky Mountain Resources in Colorado. He is a University of Tulane alumni, and is also a nationally recognized amateur golfer. He was the amateur winner at the Humana Challenge PGA Tour in 2012 and 2014.
In 2021, Allstate, a longstanding sponsor of the Tulane Classic, announced its inability to continue sponsoring the event. Fortunately, Tulane University found a benefactor in Brownstein. Serendipitously, Brownstein connected with Green Wave Head Women’s Golf Coach Stew Burke shortly after Allstate’s withdrawal. Despite initially aspiring to play football at Tulane, Brownstein altered his course and became a varsity golf letterman for two years.
Brownstein’s fervent support for women’s golf stemmed from his profound admiration for his grandmother, the esteemed golfer Bobbie Tobias. Recognizing that golf demanded a blend of skill and determination, he made it his mission to exemplify these qualities through his sponsorship of the event. Brownstein’s unwavering commitment injected newfound vigor into the promotion of women’s golf at Tulane.
